Prototyping for UX Presentation

Of late, I've found myself creating a lot more functional HTML prototypes instead of static wireframes, this was especially noticeable when I freelanced over at Candi a few months ago.

The in-house team were impressed by the speed at which I produced the HTML prototypes with Twitter Bootstrap. So we decided it would be a great idea to conduct an informal workshop covering the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I demonstrated how these technologies could be used to create rapid prototypes which added real value and insight into the UX design process.

The workshop lasted for just under two hours and was spilt into the following modules:

  • Web Standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • The Responsive Web
  • Development frameworks
  • An introduction to prototyping
  • Prototyping tools
  • Summary
  • Reading list
  • Links

For a more detailed look into how prototyping can help you design and development better user experiences, download the Prototyping for UX presentation as a PDF.
