World Surf Tour website
We developed a Google maps mashup to showcase a personal video project.
The World Surf Tour (as we dubbed it) was a personal surf adventure around the world undertaken by Ben Ellis back in 2006. The five month trip took him around the world in search of some of the best waves and experiences that accompany surfing.
As part of his trip Ben documented the experience on video. Upon his return he edited the footage and produced a short DVD. To accompany the video we produced a website to showcase the video.
Each stop on the trip was plotted on the Google map interface. When a user clicks the link it launches the relevant video.
