Freebording

More Freebording

June 27th, 2007

I popped out at lunch today and did a little Freebording over at Highbury Fields. There is a little hill next to the green and it gives a pretty sweet ride. I did about 5 or 6 runs and had a good time.

This evening BJC and me headed back over there after work for a little more action, but after about 5 mins it started to rain. It was a bit of a shame as I could feel the board sliding in the turns a little, rather than just carving, so hopefully this is a little sign of some progression, I do admit, it is a lot harder than the guys on the Freebord website make out, but hey, all good to have another sport to master.

Freebording with the crew

Last night BJC, Sulli and I hit up Highbury Fields and tested our my Freebord. After a few wobbles and near wipeouts, we were soon heading down a little hill, carving and linking some turns and even busting out the occasional 180. All good fun, watch this space for more…

Freebord has arrived

June 14th, 2007

So I got my Freebord this afternoon, had it delivered to work and assembled it over a beer on the terrace whilst the guys and girls played a few games of pool and did the mini-gig. I had a cool evening hanging out with everyone, and am also looking forward to Friday afternoon cocktails tomorrow, as well as hanging out with Carinan and Janos.

I have a feeling it is gonna be a little harder to ride than I previously thought, but a new challenge all the same, I am bound to be posting again over the next few weeks reporting all my cuts, scrapes and near-death experiences, but hey…

So BJC tuned me into this very cool new gadget which is supposed to be like snowboarding on land, I reckon it will also help improve my surfing as well, check the video out below, I think I am about to make a purchase!
