The weekend
February 26th, 2007So the weekend was pretty good fun. Friday night I headed out to the big smoke and met up with Richie, Ian, BJC and my bro Brad. We had a few beers in the West End, and then Me, Richie and Ian headed over east side to catch a few games of pool, have a few more beers and then we met up with Geraldine and her crew and hit up a club called The Hub.
I think I ended up passing out on a sofa in the East End at about 6am, needless to say Saturday was a little bit of a write-off.
In the afternoon I met up with Grant and Mike and caught possibly the worst performance from England in International rugby that I have ever seen. I had to leave the pub at half time as it was turning into a complete whitewash by the Irish.
I headed over to Tommy’s place and met up with him and his family. We hung out for a bit and then all headed over to Zizzi for what was going to be my second pizza of the day. By about 2am, I was really feeling it from the previous night and made a dash for the car. I felt a sigh of relief as I climbed into my own bed for the first time in a few days.
Sunday was pretty chilled out, I watched a few movies and then hit the pool for 50 lengths. I am trying to get down the pool as much as I can at the moment, to start training for surfing. Last year I got so fit before I took off on my WST, so I really need to be in similar, if not better shape for this season.
Weekend was topped off last night by me having a cool dream about surfing last night. I think I was down in Cornwall or something, and the swell was up and I was getting some nice rides. At one point I was surfing alongside a dolphin and a killer whale, which was a little bizarre!
The next moment I was in a surf shop showing a few people my Surf Tech board a.k.a The General. I left the board on the floor and a few minutes later I returned to find someone had broken the tail clean off, by trying to stand on it in the shop. At that point I woke up and it was time for work, interesting…
And that is the weekend in a nutshell.
