The Cooper Temple Clause
October 19th, 2006So Brad and I headed over to Koko Club, just a stone’s throw away from Mornington Crescent tube this evening. We popped into the pub next to the station and had, what was supposed to be 2 pints, which turned into 4 Guinness’. We met a few other Cooper’s fans in the pub and struck up and convo, all good. The classic Cooper hair was standard issue tonight, so I felt a little bare on the basis that I have cut most of my hair off, anyway nice to stand apart from the crowd a little I guess.
The gig was quality, the guys playing some of the old classics, such as Panzer Attack, Who Needs Enemies, New Toys etc, mixed in with a few off the new album, which aparently is due for release next January. The boys sure know how to make the crowd wait. Anyway, Brad and I had a good night, and I am now waiting at Tottenham Hale for the train back to the sticks.
I anticpate a hard morning tomorrow, on the basis that I will probably have about 5 hours sleep and then back to work in the morning. At least it is Thursday though. It was interesting, the venue was a lot smaller than when we last saw them at the Brixton Academy. I wonder if this was intentional, or if it is what happens when you don’t release an album for 2 or 3 years and you have to downscale on the venues to ensure a sellout…

Where’s the pic of the new hair cut??! Somehow I can’t quite imagine that you’ve chopped “most of it” off!
P.S. Snow on the ground today in Winnipeg, Canada…very pretty though!
