Yep the man is back with a new site and blog, go check it out and give him some feedback, looking good bro.
Beej dug out these shots from our trip to The Chapel a few years back, I just love the way The Rev, blesses those waters down at The Porth. Check em out…
PS: What is the plan for tonight matey?
Yep it is here, and it rocks. Firefox 2 (release candidate 1) looks really tasty on my PowerBook. With some great new functionality, including built in Google Suggest into the Google search box, and native support for RSS, it continues to be the best browser out their.
Mozilla say it should be available for release in Oct/Nov, sweet…
So I have just been munching on my lunch here at Ogilvy and earwigging in on the two art directors that sit in the (open-plan) office next to me. They make me laugh. They are obviously educated, professional dudes, with posh accents to boot and probably great portfolios of work, but the thing is, I can’t see how they ever do much work. They kind of sit there, exchaning ideas about society, technology and stuff, sometimes coming up with a storyboard/sketches now and again. They don’t design anything, just sit there and think.
The current topic of conversation is about Lotus Notes (an incredibly crap email client - both of them agree on this). Anyway point of my posting is that I find them amusing and it think it would be funny to record their discussions and stick it on the web as podcast. Think grumpy old men of BBC fame, they are like that, but less grump, more highbrow commentary kinda thing, passes the day as I code up these very challenging (joke) HTML emails…
It seems as though people seem to be aiming a little abuse at me over the past few days, but the funny thing is, that a.) I couldn’t give a f*ck what these people think b.) no one is bold enough to actually write their own names to their comments, and c.) well, I have a great life, a great family, good friends, a nice job, good prospects and a great girlfriend, and it’s all good. It would seem these people are either envious, jealous or are just a bit evil and like to abuse people they know nothing about.
Anyway I am off to the gym to meet Nappa for a leg session, I presume the geeks will still be in their boxes trying to hurl abuse at me all night, oh people, you do amuse me so…
And no, I won’t be approving any more nasty comments from you losers, keep it positive, keep it pleaseant.
Peace.
So lets put this boring banter about Orwell behind us and get onto the more important subject of surfing, notably how awesome Fistral has been looking. Man I want to be down there, classic, solid autumn swell coming in, offshore, sizable waves and no one about. Will have to get down there before the end of the year and feature a proper winter session. Anyone game?

For evidence check the latest, long, quoted reply to my post on working at Canary Wharf for Ogilvy. I don’t usually publish sh*tty comments, but this one is just weird.
Jonny, go out, have a wa*k, get a girlfriend, pick up a hobby, or whatever, get a life man and stop pulling quotes from news articles, books etc… it is just too geeky to be true…
I just started my second week freelancing at Ogilvy up at Cabot Square, Canary Wharf. I have to get the DLR in, and this morning I noticed that the Canary Tower was smoking. It was actually releasing this steam, that subsequently was creating a little cloud above the tower. I can only assume it was the air-con or something, unless it is the penthouse smokers club enjoying a chaff break.
Hopefully the weather will pick up here, it is quite mild, although we do have the classic autumn (fall - for those in the States) gloom today. And we all know gloom + Monday morning = I want to stay in bed.
I’ve been getting some good feedback from people who have managed to visit the WST website, traffic has been rocking for the past few days, all good.
Just about to start another day at Ogilvy, hopefully they will step up the pace a bit today.
